Can I Connect My Infinity Lamp to My Friendship Lamp?
Yes — all LuvLink lamps work together in the same group. Classic Friendship Lamps, Infinity Lamps, and Infinity Voice Lamps all connect using the same GroupID. Once they share a group, they light up together in real time, no matter where in the world everyone is.
How the Infinity range works
When someone touches their Infinity Ring, their chosen colour goes out to every other lamp in the group straight away. A Friendship Lamp will flash or pulse with that colour. An Infinity Lamp or Infinity Voice Lamp will light up in its signature swirling pattern.
If you have an Infinity Voice Lamp, you can also record and send voice messages. That feature is unique to that model — voice messages can only be played back on other Infinity Voice Lamps. If voice messaging is the main thing your group wants, it's worth making sure every lamp in the group is an Infinity Voice so everyone gets the full experience.
How the Infinity range differs from other Friendship Lamps
All LuvLink lamps share colour signals, but there are a few differences worth knowing about.
Animations
Only Classic Friendship Lamps and Modern Lamps (Cube, Tower, Cylinder, and House) have the Animations feature. This lets you customise how your lamp lights up when it receives a colour. You can read more about it here: Creating Patterns.
The Infinity range has its own built-in colour display — a swirling glow that reflects its infinity shape. There are no animation settings for these models.
Voice messaging
Only Infinity Voice Lamps can record and play back voice messages. If that's something your whole group wants, make sure every lamp in the group is an Infinity Voice.
Resetting your lamp
How you reset a lamp depends on which model you have.
Classic and Modern Lamps
Touch and hold the top sensor plate for 3–5 minutes until the lamp turns a dim red.
Infinity Range Lamps
Use a pin to press the small reset hole underneath the lamp — the lamp will cycle through a rainbow of colours before settling on dim red.
Connecting your lamps
All LuvLink lamps connect through the LuvLink app. Whether you're setting up your first lamp or adding a new one to an existing group, the steps are the same across every model.
