The Color Codes of the Friendship Lamp
Your Friendship Lamp uses its colour to tell you what it's doing — whether it's starting up, connecting to Wi-Fi, updating, or ready to send and receive colours. Use this guide to read what your lamp's colour means at a glance.
What each colour means
- Dim blue — the lamp is turning on and connecting. You'll see this right after you plug it in.
- Dim red — Wi-Fi setup mode. The lamp needs connecting to your Wi-Fi.
- Dim purple — the lamp is downloading and installing an update.
- Dim orange — the lamp is connected to Wi-Fi, but not to the internet.
- Swirling green — the lamp is set up and ready to send and receive colours with your group.
- Dim yellow — the lamp is waiting for the group admin to approve it joining the group.
A note for college and university networks
If you're on a college or university network, the lamp may show dim purple if it needs to be registered with your IT department.
