How to Connect the Frame to a Smartphone Hotspot
Your Digital Photo Frame needs a Wi-Fi connection to receive and display new photos. If you don't have a Wi-Fi network available, you can use your smartphone as a hotspot instead. Set up the hotspot on your phone first, then connect the frame to it just like any normal Wi-Fi network.
Set up a hotspot on an iPhone
- Go to Settings.
- Go to Personal Hotspot.
- Enable Allow Others to Join and set a Wi-Fi password (minimum 8 characters long).
- If you have an iPhone 12 or later, make sure to also enable Maximize Compatibility.
Set up a hotspot on an Android
- Go to Settings.
- Go to Network & internet.
- Go to Hotspot & tethering.
- Set up a hotspot with a name and a password (minimum 8 characters long), then turn it on.
Connect the frame to the hotspot
Once your hotspot is enabled, your phone's hotspot name will appear in the Wi-Fi settings on the frame. Tap the hotspot name and enter the password. Your frame is now connected to your smartphone hotspot and ready to receive photos.
