Frame Stuck on Startup
If your Digital Photo Frame is stuck on the startup screen, won't boot, or seems to load forever, the most likely cause is a problem with the flash memory or the power adapter. This can also show up as a black screen or the frame not turning on at all. The steps below usually fix it.
Why does this happen?
This issue most commonly happens when the frame is unplugged while it's still running — for example, during a power outage or a power surge.
Step 1 — Unplug the frame
- Turn the frame off.
- Unplug the power cord from both ends.
- Leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes.
- Plug it back in and try again.
Step 2 — Try a different power outlet
Plug the frame into a different power outlet. This rules out a faulty outlet as the cause.
Step 3 — Try a different power cord
If you have a similar or identical power cord available, try using that instead. This helps work out whether the cord itself is the problem.
