Wi-Fi Does Not Show Up on Frame

If your Wi-Fi network doesn't appear in the list on your Digital Photo Frame, it's usually down to the frame's Wi-Fi requirements. The frame only supports the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band, and it can't connect on channels 12, 13, or 14. Work through the three steps below in order.

Step 1: Check whether the frame finds any networks at all

Take a look at the list of available networks on your frame.

  • If other networks show up (for example a mobile hotspot or a neighbour's Wi-Fi), the frame's Wi-Fi hardware is working fine — the issue is with your particular network, so move on to Step 2.
  • If no networks show up at all, the internal Wi-Fi chip may need replacing. In that case, contact our support team.

Step 2: Make sure your Wi-Fi runs on 2.4 GHz

The frame does not support 5 GHz networks. If your router is set to broadcast on 5 GHz only, the frame won't be able to see it.

Enable the 2.4 GHz band in your router settings, or contact your internet service provider for help doing this.

Step 3: Check your Wi-Fi channel

Your router's 2.4 GHz signal needs to be on a channel between 1 and 11. Channels 12, 13, and 14 are restricted in some regions and will stop the frame from detecting the network.

Adjust the channel in your router settings, or ask your internet service provider to change it for you.
