How to Go Back to the Setup Mode
If your Friendship Lamp is frozen on a colour or not responding to touch, you need to reset it to setup mode — that's the dim red light. Use this article when the lamp seems stuck and you want to reconnect it to your Wi-Fi or re-enter your GroupID.
Before you reset, it's worth unplugging the lamp and plugging it back in — a stable Wi-Fi connection is essential for the lamp to work properly, and a quick power cycle sometimes clears the problem on its own.
Classic Lamps and Modern Range
- Place your finger gently on the top sensor pad.
- Hold it there until the lamp turns dim red (this usually takes 3–5 minutes).
- Let the lamp cycle through its colours before it settles on dim red.
Infinity Range
Insert a pin into the Reset pinhole on the underside of the unit. The lamp will display rainbow colours before reaching dim red.
Other ways to reset
If the steps above don't get you to dim red, you can also:
- Power cycle both your router and the lamp.
- Use Factory Reset in the LuvLink app Settings (this works for lamps that are already configured).
Once the lamp is dim red
When the lamp is showing dim red, it's ready to be set up again:
- Open the LuvLink app.
- Tap + Add Device.
- Select Connect to an existing Group.
- Enter your GroupID.
- Finish the Wi-Fi setup by selecting your network and entering your password.
