My Lamp Is Not Sending/Receiving Colors
If your Friendship Lamp isn't sending or receiving colours, the most likely cause is a GroupID problem. This article helps you work out whether the issue is with receiving colours, sending them, or your Wi-Fi connection — and how to fix each one.
The lamp is not receiving colours
Check your Wi-Fi connection. When you power the lamp on, it displays a swirling green light as it connects to Wi-Fi. If you don't see that, the lamp isn't online yet — sort out the connection first.
Check your GroupID. Each lamp uses a unique GroupID that's set during setup. If the lamp is online but still isn't receiving colours or greetings, the GroupID may have been entered incorrectly. Open the LuvLink app, find your GroupID, and check it matches the correct group.
A helpful clue: if your lamp turns on by itself, that usually means the GroupID was entered incorrectly.

The lamp is not sending colours
If your lamp receives colours from others but nothing happens when you touch the touchpad, the power supply is the first thing to rule out:
- Plug the lamp into a PC or Mac USB port to test it.
- Try a different USB cable (not the original one).
- Use a good-quality adapter/charger, and try a different wall outlet in another location.
